The Bamboo House
The Sieko’pai Bamboo House is a community space under construction, that seeks to provide dignified living conditions for the elder guardians of memory, strengthen ancestral knowledge, and welcome visitors in an environment of learning, cultural exchange, and respect for the rainforest. A living bridge between generations and cultures.
The dream of building in harmony with the forest
This project comes to life through the union of many hands and hearts.
Donations and volunteers who shared their knowledge and effort, young people building alongside their elders, and a community that welcomes visitors with generosity, food, and shared learning

Working & collaborating with purpouse
Its purpose is to care for the elders, ensure a dignified life, strengthen the transmission of ancestral knowledge, and promote improvements that support community tourism, thus fostering the conservation of the territory and the living memory of its people..
Keep dreaming
However, the house still lacks basic conditions such as access to safe water, sanitation, windows and adequate spaces for culinary and community activities.
This project addresses the urgent need to dignify the lives of the elders and their extended family (about fifteen people), to ensure basic health conditions, and to strengthen the preservation of ancestral knowledge, thus contributing to the ecological and cultural sustainability of the Sieko’pai people.

WHAT'S NEXT
The project currently benefits from a small initial fund that allows us to take the first steps toward its realization.
Soon, we will begin seeking additional support to strengthen two essential components

-
Infrastructure completion: materials, tools and equipment to finalize construction, including solar water and eco sanitation systems, windows and roofing.

-
Implementation logistics: transportation of materials, along with accommodation, food, and fair labor costs to realize the project with expert volunteers and community members.
